Case Study - Bedford Road Multi Storey Car Park, Guildford

The client in this instance was Geoffrey Osborne Ltd. This 800 space, three level car park, built in 1972 was in need of a complete refurbishment to bring it back to its former glory. Osborne, the main contractor, carried out the site management, fencing and concrete repairs; CDM Contracts carried out all the coating works.

The coating works consisted of application of 19,000m² of anti-carbonation coatings to the soffits, walls and columns. 17,000m² of Deckshield Polyurethane Waterproofing System was applied to the intermediate decks.

CDM Contracts had previously been invited to carry out structural concrete repairs and coating works to this car park by Guildford Borough Council when a 6 car fire caused severe damage to shear heads.

The contract was completed within budget and contract programme.
